Moving on post-pandemic & flood - government financial assistance & insurance.

On 19 January 2022, MIDF's Development Finance Division (DFD), in collaboration with SME Malaysia and Etiqa, organised a webinar over Zoom and Facebook Live on the topic of "Moving On Post-Pandemic & Flood: Government Financial Assistance & Insurance".

Over 60 participants joined the webinar which was organised to provide members of the SME Association of Malaysia with comprehensive information about the special government financial assistance for flood-affected businesses and underserved sectors as well as on insurance coverage and claims process. Participants were welcomed by Mr. Chin Chee Seong, National Secretary General of SME Malaysia and Mr. Yip Weng Seng, Head of Sales at DFD.Speakers included Ms. Wong Siew Wan from MIDF who spoke about the financial assistance available for flood affected companies as well as En. Mohammad Rafiq and Pn. Alinur from Etiqa who shared information on shared on Takaful Coverage & Claims Process.The webinar is part of MIDF's endeavour to support businesses in their effortsto move forward post-pandemic and those affected by the recent floods.
