C-Tech Rubber (M) Sdn Bhd's growth story is one of vision and innovation. Now run by the second generation, it has come a long way from its inception in 1985 with three machines operating at the backyard of the family's home in Gombak. In the beginning, it was producing "O" rings for the Australian building industry, but in the 1990s, it saw opportunities within the poultry industry, and started to develop in-house expertise in producing rubber picking fingers for defeathering purposes.Today, C-Tech is a leading producer of rubber poultry plucking fingers, which are mostly for export markets such as the US, Europe, Australasia and Asia.

Its clientele boasts some of the largest equipment manufacturers in the poultry processing industry and world's top poultry processors. The company's commitment to quality has remained steadfast, thanks to its proprietary and unique rubber formula and process. Besides rubber plucking fingers, it also has in its products portfolio tridisc (used in recycling plants), Viton sleeves, claw tubes (used in milking industry), impact rollers (conveyors) and claw disks.

C-Tech first approached MIDF for financing back in 2005, and since then, has received several additional financing from the development finance institution. With the financial support, the company was able to move out from its Gombak premise and moved into a 40,000 sq. ft. factory in Ulu Yam. Today, it has 16 machines and employed a total of 64 employees, with plans to expand its markets further.
